Worship From The Wheelchair!!!
(Chester’s Story) By Mark Flippo
Chester was a older man that came regularly to service. He was a quadriplegic. He could worship with his distorted voice and lift only the index finger on his right hand. He would work very hard to raise that one finger up to God in worship. You could hear him cry out to God in worship while so many sat unmoved. Those that would not allow God to flow through them. Some may cry out in God’s presence but Chester would give all that he could.
How many times have we set in service and don’t raise our hands in worship. Does your worship time last for 60 seconds or 15 minutes. We should be ashamed of ourselves. We give so little back to Jesus when He gives us so much. May the spirit of Chester not stand in judgment against us and our worship. We need to take time to examine our hearts and find out why. Let us change our lazy complacent ways. All Chester could raise was one little finger and we can do so much more. Let us Bless The Name of the Lord together. Let’s give God not only our all, but our best.
