I Will Do It My Way!

Genesis Chapter 4 (KJV)
5-But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6-And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7-If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Genesis 4:7 (MSG)
6-7 God spoke to Cain: “Why this tantrum? Why the sulking? If you do well, won’t you be accepted? And if you don’t do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce; it’s out to get you, you’ve got to master it.”
One thing that I never quite understood in the section of scripture is the last part of verse 7. I prefer that when writing is done to give a name to who (he) is. The MSG gave me a better understanding. Now it makes perfect sense. When reading scripture it is not a sin to read another version to help you understand! Just be careful which version you use! This lets you know when you have a bad attitude sin is at your door. Keep sin out of your life so it can never wreck you! It doesn't mean you will never sin but get it cleaned out right away! Don't let sin become a festering puss sitting at your door waiting for you to slip on it! It sounds nasty because it is!!!!
