Which Are You?
By Mark Flippo
This parable is found in Mathew chapter 13. When I gave a considerable thought to this parable God helped me understand that we all have been one of these soils from time to time. Through times of trouble our hearts can become hardened and His Word grows nothing in us. Other times His word does not get a chance to be established in our hearts. Our minds may be scattered in that service! Our own carnality can keep His word from establishing in our hearts! I am so grateful that Jesus helps us to be good ground. I hope most of the time. Can you examine yourself and see when you were affected in one way or another? Can you understand why His words did not always get where it was needed? Will you be more careful in the future? I will for sure. I can not waste my time on not fully absorbing His word! Help me Jesus to always be listening with my whole heart!
