Who's Your Pilot?
By Mark Flippo
A skilled pilot can guide a boat through some of the roughest storms. They are not infallible. I have seen ships and boats of all makes and sizes going through tempestuous seas in documentaries, movies and an occasional clips! I have seen the inside of the ship with furniture sliding from one side of the room to the other and back again. Since seeing the one movie that the cruise liner flips upside down because of a rogue wave, I lost any interest in ever taking a voyage. Thank you Jesus for being the captain of my personal voyage! I have had rogue waves of life try to sink me, but Jesus is always there! So many things have gone a way that felt painful and bad at the time. Somehow, someway He turned it around in His timing.
I have been run over by a car at 18 months old, I have had broken arms and toes, thrown into a three strand barb wire fence, did a backflip off a diving board to go into the pool but hit the board first, hit in the head by a spray can tossed at me, had my stomach operated on by a doctor that had no clue what he was doing just to remove my Gallbladder, Open Heart Surgery, and a host of other things! (Wew that is a lot of stuff!) Through it all Jesus never left my side! Sometimes He walked with me, but sometimes He carried me! I would not be who I am today without all the pain, misery and stitches! Praise God for everything you go through. It all becomes part of who you are. Learn your lesson well or you may have to go through it again. (Ouch!) Even in your darkest valley climbing over rocks, Jesus will guide you if you will let Him! Thank you Jesus for all you have taught me!
