A Question That Can Never Be Truly Answered
By Mark Flippo
There are many very sad suicides each year. Around 800,000 to a million people die by suicide every year, making it the 10th leading cause of death worldwide. (Wikipedia) When I was in high school, there were two suicides. It was a shock! Both were by hanging. It is heartbreaking to know anyone at a young age ending their life.
It is a tragedy such a great loss for so many. We can comfort ourselves with knowing God only is our judge. He has always been very kind and loving toward us all. It is hard to understand when bad things happen no matter what the circumstances. Just make sure you love your family and friends and be kind to strangers, give everyone a real smile. Do kindness to the people you do not know! You will never know when you have made a life and death difference to someone that maybe had a smile on the outside but was dying on the inside!
Our grandsons mother committed suicide a couple of weeks ago. It is an ongoing difficult transition for my son. The grandparents on both side are doing what we can to help. There is still crying going on. She was just barely 30 years old. An alcoholic that refused help and would not even admit she had a problem. Please Children of God. Drinking and drugs do not mix! Pray for your loved ones that are trapped in many deadly situations! With Love and Prayers Mark.
