To Be Like A Hawk!
By Mark Flippo
In the doctor's office the other day, I was reading a magazine on conservation. It really opened my eyes how hawks migrate south in September to Oct. To South America for the summer. Coming from the North they follow rivers down. They like being near the bluffs to find updraft currents. They will get in at the bottom and ride them to the top and then start gliding on the currents. When they have gotten low enough they find another updraft and will ride it to the top and glide some more. God has given them a special gift to help them cover great distances and conserve energy. They trust God to bring them up higher.
Then they glide into the next event and ride the upcurrent again. Consider this, do we make being a Christian to hard? When we come to a trial just find that place in God where you can rise above it and then glide to your next mountain. There will be another uplift of His spirit you just need to find it. God can let you rise above all things or He will let you work at it the hard way. I prefer to allow Him to show me the more excellent way above the storm. Let God teach us an easier way to be fulfilled in Him!
