Pink Dolphin
By Mark Flippo
Pinky has surfaced again: The Louisiana bottlenose dolphin with a bubblegum-pink hue is making waves on social media this week. First spotted in 2007 in the Calcasieu River (map) by charter boat captain Erik Rue, Pinky is likely an albino, says Greg Barsh, a scientist who studies the genetics of color variation at the Hudson Alpha Institute for Biotechnology in Alabama.
How many kids would just love Pinky? It is an albino! It may not be normal for the animal world. But it stands out, and is noticed by everyone. It does not get embarrassed because others are looking. Do you look so different that you dress so you will cover yourself up? Maybe you're letting your self esteem tell you what to do? Why not pray about your situation and ask our Heavenly Father what you should do. Maybe He made you different so people will notice and help with whatever is the changed aspect about you! It takes Courage to stand up! Ask God is that the right thing for you to do?
