Did You Sacrifice Your Children?
By Mark Flippo
sacrifice (noun)
the act of losing or surrendering something as a penalty for a mistake or fault or failure to perform etc.
sacrifice (noun)
personnel that are sacrificed (e.g., surrendered or lost in order to gain an objective)
sacrifice (noun)
a loss entailed by giving up or selling something at less than its value
So many of our children have gone down the wrong roads! They have been sent to and over abundance of sports, girls activities, camps and have given them over to a place it seems they are no longer ours. What has been our objective in surrendering them. Most parents want their children to have more than they had! In doing so we did not see the pit falls on them being over involved.
Did we sacrifice them? I wish I could say for sure! There is something about so many children that are not close to their parents. I hope we have not created an environment of them forgetting us! That would be a terrible irony that what we worked so hard to provide for disregards us! Parents just pray even more than ever before.
