Born To Be Invisible
By Mark Flippo
Have you ever felt that way before, you know invisible?
I can remember being at parties and feeling that way! Does anyone even notice me? Does anyone even care? I felt that way a part of my life. I missed the whole point of WHY! Sometimes people are called from birth, destined to be separated unto God for a special purpose. It can seem a very lonely path. When I finally started to reach out to God I started feeling His presence. I was no longer alone! In Truth I was never alone. Jesus is always near reaching out to you. I spent a lot of time by myself in my younger days. Making up songs
during the summer months and walking through the pasture singing whatever it was about on that occasion. I talked to God even though I did not really know a lot about Him. I had heard the Bible stories in Sunday School. I believed He was real!
After graduation I went to a tech school in Connecticut and then moved to New York for work. After one year I moved to Missouri. In my early twenties someone knocked on my door and invited me to Sunday School. I went and I remember something was so familiar, it felt like my home church. I had not been going anywhere since graduation from high school.
I had felt His presence growing up but did not understand that feeling. So many memories came back to me about falling asleep as a child on the pew and feeling Him in my half awake state of mind. The minister would ask if anyone wanted to come to the front and make God his friend! I wanted to but just had no clue what it was all about. Now sitting in that service I finally understood. God was drawing me, wanting me to come closer to Him. I finally did and I was so happy! I went to the front and was just crying. I repented for all the sins I had done. I was so ashamed of them. Jesus forgave me and I felt a load lift off of my shoulders. A couple of days after that I went to visit with a group of people from there and I just started smiling and laughing I felt so much peace and joy! That was another step in my personal walk with God.
There have been many steps since then and I have never regretted it!
Now it is time for you to get closer to our Heavenly Father. No matter how much you know or don't know just find a place near you where you can reach out and ask Him to come closer. Make time for Him each day and your journey will become better with Jesus at your side! God Bless You! His love is unconditional! He really does love you!
