I'm Sorry, Again!
By Mark Flippo
James 5:16 - Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Ephesians 4:32 - And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Hebrews 10:26 - For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Psalms 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
How many of you have had to say your sorry for the same thing to the same person? I have. Why do we make the same mistake over and over again? You would think we would learn our lesson the first time around! I guess sometimes we do. Is it just because we develop bad habits? Are we lazy? Are we just thoughtless. It would be nice to have all of the answers, but I don't. The Bible teaches to bridle our tongues. Be careful what you say. We need to be quick to think but slow to speak. Use Wisdom not reaction to what is said to you! Ask Jesus to teach you to speak with Wisdom that others will be enlightened not angered! Let us work on ourselves and help others to see the need for God's help in everything we say and do!
