Words Hurt!
By Mark Flippo
You can hurt with your words just as much as a physical punch! That kind of pain goes even deeper and is longer lasting. These days we have a problem with bridling our tongue. In public you hear all manner of things people should be ashamed that they said them. Most of the time they are not even thinking about it. They just open their mouths and letter fly. It would be nice if we engaged our brain first and then said things. I have had to think about things after I am not happy with someone so they get the kinder but firm message without raking them over the coals. We are taught in many places in the Bible to guard our mouth. I have been very hurt in the past by words and with God's help I am doing much improved at not passing that pain along! Don't you think we all should do better?
