Rich Man In Hell
By Mark Flippo
Psalms 9:17-The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Luke 16:
19-There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
22...........the rich man also died, and was buried;
23-And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24-And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25-But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26-And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
What you are holding onto of the world will determine where you spend eternity! This man in the parable had riches and everything he wanted but never gave to help the needy. Jesus help us not to be selfish and cold inside toward others. Keep my mind clean and tender towards you. My heart must be pliable to your Voice to be able to move with you. Help me not to get ahead or fall behind your will! I hope to reach others that may feel like the rich man before it is too late for them. Move me to tears for so many lost that I meet everyday. Help me to always be grateful that you have had Mercy on my soul. Thank you for choosing me. I am unworthy of your Love that brought me out of my darkness! Please allow me to always be your servant your friend and your obedient child! I Love you with all my heart, mind, soul, body and spirit! I pray all who read this feel the same way!
