The House Of Prayer
By Mark Flippo
Mark Chapter 11
15-And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16-And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17-And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
I have quoted this verse many times but I just noticed that I have had an error in what I was doing. It says shall be called of all nations the House of Prayer! How could I have missed such an important fact. I am guilty of reading over text and not really reading it. I am sure I have company in this oops. Most sinners do not see the buildings that we worship in as a House of Prayer. Why? Do they not believe they are because of the bickering between religions? The Muslims come together to pray. We need to stop letting others put us to shame. Make sure your neighborhood knows when there is a need they can come to your local place and find help in a time of need. Let others know you are there for them and not a show of who dressed the best. Pray for their needs!
