Where Two Rivers Meet
By Mark Flippo
In this incredible photograph we see the junction of the Rhone and Arve rivers in Geneva, Switzerland. The river on the left is the Rhone, which is just exiting Lake Lehman. The river on the right is the Arve, which receives water from the many glaciers of the Chamonix valley (mainly the Mer de Glace) before flowing north-west into the Rhone on the west side of Geneva, where its much higher level of silt brings forth a striking contrast between the two rivers.
Such a contrast. This is so much like families! Kids raised by the same parents, same environment can grow up and be so different! Just minor changes in the things they have seen or been around can in the long run be so different. When there is a family reunion you may see somethings that are alike but the differences can be very stark. When we as God's children get together there is always a point of unity. There are those things that make us unique. Merging is one of the things that God does the best! No matter where we go or who we meet we can still be known by our Love!! Jesus shines through us uniting us into one family!
