Hope In Night Time
By Mark Flippo
February 26, 2013, the city of Djibouti. African migrants night ashore in Djibouti raise their phones to catch the signal from neighboring Somalia – that’s such a delicate touch with relatives abroad. Djibouti – a regular stop on the way migrants from countries such as Somalia, Ethiopia and Eritrea from which to seek a better life, people flee to Europe or the Middle East. (John Stanmeyer-VII for National Geographic)
People fleeing their homeland for a better life see a light that keeps their course steady and in the right direction. Have you known such oppression that you felt the need to be delivered? Oppression comes in many forms. Has your neighborhood become a place that is no longer safe to be? Did you use to feel safe at home but you don't anymore?
Is there a serious problem in your family that you have become uneasy around them? Has a child of yours fallen into the wrong company and you dread every phone call thinking that it will bring bad news? You are not alone. Jesus Christ sees and knows the challenges you are facing. He may want you to move. Listen carefully to His Voice. Let the light of His Love and Wisdom guide you from a dark place to safety. He will take you out of the oppressive place you are into a delivered state of mind and body!
John 8:36-If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
