Cheaters' Fools Gold
By Mark Flippo
The California Gold Rush (1848–1855) began on January 24, 1848, when gold was found by James W. Marshall at Sutter's Mill in Coloma, California.
A lot of us would like to have a little pure gold in our pockets! Not Liquid Gold like the furniture polish. It would sure help to pay the bills. The poor men that went west during the gold rush most of them sold their gold for supplies and drinking. Most lost everything that way. The store owners were the ones who got rich without digging for it. Be careful what you see as your pot of gold at the end of your rainbow. You may work yourself to death and have nothing much to show for it. And sadly lose some of the most precious people to you!
